Aerowisata Hotels & Resorts have been certified as ‘Eco Hotel’ by TUV Rheinland Germany, in recognition of the commitment to improve all aspects of its’ waste management, water & electricity conservation and better environmental practices, structured in order to minimize the impact on the environment to achieve environmental sustainability.
TUV Rheinland ECO certification includes 5 Hotels within the Aerowisata Hotels & Resorts portfolio. The hotels that been audited are Sanur Beach Hotel and Pool Villa Club - Bali, Senggigi Beach Hotel and Pool Villa Club - Lombok, Grand Preanger Hotel - Bandung, Labersa Grand Hotel & Convention Center - Pekanbaru and Aerotel - Biak. The final audit concluded that these hotels & resorts met the criteria and requirements. We are proud to announce that Aerowisata Hotels & Resorts is the first hotel group to be Eco Hotel certified by TUV Rheinland.
Aerowisata hotels & resorts strive to implement this commitment by conducting a constant series of training towards all hotel staff as well as to encourage hotel guests to support the program of ‘Eco Hotel’ for the sustainability of Indonesia’s environment.

Aerowisata Sanur Beach Hotel becomes Sanur’s first ‘Tsunami Ready Hotel’!
Congratulations to Aerowisata Sanur Beach Hotel! As of 10.10.2011 this beautiful retreat on Bali’s popular Sanur Beach is ‘Tsunami Ready’ certified – setting new standards for the local hotel community.
With exceptional determination and commitment the hotel’s management together with a dedicated team of employees implemented the ‘Tsunami Ready Hotels’ standard - even contributing to existing regulations with some innovative ideas.
Now guests at Aerowisata Sanur Beach Hotel can relax even more – knowing that in the event of a tsunami alarm a well-trained team will take care of them.
Highlight of the certification session was a fully blown test evacuation involving guests as well as all hotel staff. After the hotels internal tsunami warning siren was triggered, guests were rushed to the evacuation spot by members of the evacuation team which are dressed in orange signal vests for easy identification. While guest safety is top priority the hotel also closed down its major departments, making for example sure that no gas leaks in the kitchens and that all essential documents are secured.
At the evacuation spot guests were greeted by the evacuation spot manager who makes sure nobody gets lost in the process. The evacuation spot is equipped with food and water for 2 days as well as essential medical and hygienic equipment.
While everybody enjoyed the excitement and rush of the very speedy and successful evacuation the event highlighted the need for meticulous preparation as well as training as when tsunami strikes its minutes that count.

Gede Parmita was previously Director of Sales at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa. He has gained priceless experience in the hotel industry with over 20 years of sales & marketing exposure in several 5 stars hotels. Parmita graduated with a Bachelor Degree in economy management and completed summer courses on Sales & Marketing and communication skills overseas. Focusing on improving service standards in all departments and creating a new market mix, the management team at Sanur Beach Hotel is complete!

Brought up and educated in Europe & USA, born in Geneva and is half German & Indonesian makes Francis a truly international Hotelier. He speaks English, Indonesian & German and has a strong understanding of Dutch, French and some Mandarin. Francis joins the resort with more then 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, with hotels & resorts in Bali, Jakarta, Batam, Bintan, Uzbekistan, among other cities, of which 17 years was in senior management. Most recently as Resort Manager of Bintan Lagoon Resort Bintan.

The Vice President of Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prof. DR. Boediono visited Sanur Beach Hotel Bali and was welcomed by Ms. Margit Arnold, the General Manager of the hotel. The purpose of his visit was the opening of the annual conference of the Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation (ATBC) which was held at the Wantilan Convention Centre, Sanur Beach Hotel Bali. Mr. Prof. DR. Boediono was also accompanied by Mr. Mangku Pastika, the Governor of Bali and the Mayor of Denpasar, Mr. IB Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra.
The Minister of Culture & Tourism of Republic of Indonesia , Mr. Jero Wacik visited Sanur Beach Hotel Bali and was welcomed by Ms. Margit Arnold, the General Manager of the hotel. The purpose of his visit was attending the farewell dinner of the annual conference of the Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation (ATBC) which was held at the Wantilan Convention Centre, Sanur Beach Hotel Bali.
